Since 1992 to 1996 , annual meetings of sculpturs were held in the town of Milevsko. Several authors from various countries from the whole world came here to take part in the local Sculptural Symposiums.
The actual work in objects took place in the stonecutters´ workshop of the Jihokamen Association at Prilepov, nearby Milevsko. The artists used for their works especiallly stones unsuitable for processing in the stonecutters´ workshop and which would otherwise be disposed of as waste. The granite out of which all the outputs are created, comes from the quarries in the neighbourhood of Milevsko and from Stepanovice nrby Ceske Budejovice (Czech Budweis) . The sculptures sre permanently placed in the Bazantnice (Pheasantry)Park in Milevsko and in the Park of Stromovka in Ceske Budejovice.
The granite sympoziums were organized by the Museum of Milevsko and by teh Association for Cultural Development in Milevsko, and they were supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the town of Milevsko, and other sponsors.
